Bourgouin died in Paris on October 30 1924.

Maier 172. $500. ———- Fr?d?ric-Charles Victor de Vernon was born in Paris on 17 November, 1858. He studied under Cavelier, Chaplain and Tasset and, on the urging of Chaplain, took part in the competition for the Grand Prix de Rome in medal engraving. He placed twice before eventually winning in 1887. His works exhibit a strong influence by Roty. Vernon won many accolades and in 1900 was made a chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. He died in 1912.

Rau died in Brussels on June 29 1966.

He won gold medals at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais in 1900 and in 1920. Yncesse was made a Chevalier of the L?gion d?Honneur in 1900. His medallic works often achieve a subtle effect using a soft, shallow relief.

Peyrol died at Neuilly on December 24 1929.

He trained as a steel engraver and became a student at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He studied medal engraving under Henri Auguste Jules Patey and Fr?deric-Charles Victor de Vernon. He participated several times in the competition for the Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving, receiving a deuxi?me second Grand Prix in 1914, a premier second Grand Prix in 1919 and finally winning the competition in 1920. He had a distinguished career as a medalist and designer of coins. He is noted for his many works with a bold, Art Deco style, in particular the prize medal from the 1925 Exposition Internationale Des Arts Decoratifs Et Industriels Moderns in Paris. In 1938 he was made a Chevalier of the L?gion d?Honneur. Turin died on July 25 1968 in Sucy-en-Brie, where he had been born.
