Tony Antoine Szirmaï medallist and sculptor was born in Hungary in 1871. He entered the Budapest School of Decorative Arts, and later studied under Prof. Eberle at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to Italy, where he studied under Prof. Kopf for two years at the Palazzo Venezia in Rome. In 1892 he- went to Paris and entered the studio of the Master Ernest Barrias. Szirmaï died in 1938.
