Georges Simon was born in Paris in 1906. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieur des Beaux Arts de Paris under Henry Dropsy. He worked with Lavrillier, Grégoire and Bazor. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français where he received a mention in 1936 and a bronze medal in 1939.He was an engraver and later master-engraver at the Paris Mint from 1931-1971. Simon died in 1982.
