Augustin Sall? was born on September 9 1891 at Longueau (Somme). He first studied at the ?cole sup?rieure d’art et de design de Valenciennes, the at the National School of Fine Arts. He was a student of Jules Coutan and Auguste Carli. He began exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais in 1923 and in 1924 he won the Grand Prix de Rome for sculpture. Sall? died on January 10, 1961 at Paimpol, France.
