Louis-Eug?ne Mouchon was born in Paris on 30 August 1843. He studied under his father and first exhibited at the Salon in 1876. In 1888 he became a soci?taire des Artistes Fran?cais and was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honner in 1895. He won a silver medal at the Universal Expostion in 1900. Mouchon designed several postage stamps and banknotes. He died at Montrouge on 3 March 1914.
