Jules Jourdain, Belgian sculptor and medallist was born at Namur in 1873. He initially studied law, but was drawn towards the arts. He studied drawing under Lef?vre in Brussels and worked in the studio of decorative painter Privat-Livemont. He his real passion lay in sculpture, which he studied under Julien Dillens. He first exhibited at the Salon d?Art Chr?tien in 1899.
