Raymond Joly (1911-?) began to study sculpture in 1937 and entered the atelier of Henry Dropsy in 1939 at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieur des Beaux-Arts. He won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving in 1942.
