Édouard Fraisse was born on May 14, 1880, at Beaune. He studied under Barrias, Coutan, Chaplain and Vernon. Fraisse collaborated with Henry Demey on numerous medals and plaquettes that typically depicted figures in action. He was admitted to the Société des Artistes Français and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he won a gold medal in 1937. He was made a chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur in 1929. Fraisse died in Paris on September 13, 1945
