Paul Belmondo (1898-1982) sculptor and medallist was born in Algeria. He studied at the ?cole des Beaux Art in Algiers and then at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he later became a professor. He created an extensive body of medals. The Monnaie exhibited his work in 1976.
