Sorry, SOLD —— Albert Herbemont was born in 1874 and was a pupil of Ponscarme. He won a gold medal at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais in 1923. Herbemont was a founding member of the Soci?t? Fran?ais des Amis de la M?daille. Herbemont died in 1953.

Jacques Wiener, whose given name was Jacob, was born on March 2, 1815, at Hoerstgen (Rhine Province) to Hungarian parents. He seems to have started using Jacques as his name when he moved to Belgium. At the age of 13 he went to live with his uncle Baruth, an artist, and studied drawing, modelling and engraving. In 1835 he moved to Paris to perfect his skills and in 1839 moved to Brussels, where he established himself as an engraver. He became a naturalized Belgian in 1845. He created an extensive body of medals and is best known for his finely detailed architectural medals, especially his series of Most Remarkable Edifices. He is also widely known for engraving the first Belgian postage stamp. Wiener died in Brussels in 1899.

Lucien Gibert (1904-1988), sculptor and medallist, studied at l??cole des Beaux-Arts se Saint-?tienne and later at l??cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He was a student of Jean Boucher and Charles Despiau. He won a gold medal at the International Exposition in Paris in 1937 and at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais in 1939. Gibert was made an officer of la L?gion d?Honneur. He created over 200 medals.

From Robert-M?rignac?s series of plaquettes depicting women in regional costumes of France: Alsacienne, Angevine, Auvergnate, Boulonnaise, Bourbonnaise, Bressane, Bretone, Catalane, Charentaise, Limousine, Lorraine, Normanide, Olonnaise, Poitevine, Proven?ale, Saintongeaise, Vend?enne. ———- Ernesta Robert-M?rignac, sculptor and medallist was born at Saint-Omer on August 25 1849. She studied under Mlle Genevi?ve Granger, Mlle Darbefeille and R?cipon. She exhibited four plaquettes in 1905 at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais and several medals in 1906 and at the 1924 Olympics. She was the daughter of fencing master Charles Gustave Robert and wife of another, ?mile M?rignac. Her nephew Lucien M?rignac won the gold medal in the 1900 Olympic Foil Masters event. Robert-M?rignac, died at Paris on February 28 1933.

Adolphe Rivet, sculptor and medallist, was born at Veletz (Corrèze) on July 30 1855. He was a student at the École des Beaux-Arts, where he studied under Jules Cavelier, Hubert Ponscarme and Oscar Roty. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he received an honorable mention in 1888 and a second class medal in 1908. He died at Gentilly (Seine) on November 8, 1925
