Charles Pillet, sculptor and medallist was born in Paris in 1869. He studied under , Henri-Michel-Antoine Chapu and Jules-Cl?ment Chaplain. He won the premier Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving in 1890. He became a soci?taire des Artistes Fran?ais in 1898. In 1900 he won a silver medal at the Universal Exposition. He won a medal of honor in 1923. He was made a chevalier of the L?gion d’Honneur. Pillet died in 1960

He studied under the sculptor, Carltier and medal engraving under Levasseur, Roty and Tonnelier. He won various distinctions during the course of his career and was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. Legastelois died in 1931.

He was a student of Alexandre Flagui?re. Bouval was a member of the Soci?t? des Artistes Fran?ais. He won a third-class prize in 1893 and an honorable mention at the International Exposition of 1900. A statue by Bouval crowns the Casa de Cultura in Buenos Aires. He died in 1916.

Godefroid Devreese was one of Belgium’s most prolific medallists. He was born at Courtrai in 1861. He studied sculpture under his father and later at the Academy of Brussels. In 1885 he won the second Grand Prix de Rome. In 1889 he won the first Grand Prix for sculpture at the Academy of Brussels and a gold medal at the International Exposition in Cologne. ?
