He studied under Jules Cavelier, Chaplain and Tasset. He exhibited at the Salon and won a third prize in 1884 and the Prix de Rome in 1887. In 1900 he won a gold medal at the Universal Exposition and was made a Chevalier of the L?gion d?Honneur. Vernon died in 1912.
