Sorry, SOLD (February, 2022) ?mile Monier, a sculptor and medallist was born in 1883. He studied at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, and in the studios of Ponscarme and Peter. In the course of his career he received numerous honors and became a Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur. Monier died in 1970.

She became a Soci?taire des Artistes Fran?ais in 1887. In 1909 she won a third class medal. Moria died in 1927.

Pierre-Alexandre Morlon (1878-1951) was born at M?con. He initially worked under his father, a marble worker. He later moved to Paris, where he studied under the sculptors Falgui?re and Merci?. He became a regular exhibitor at the Salon of the Soci?t? des Artistes Fran?ais. He produced several war memorials following World War I and is noted, among medal collectors, for his medals related to World War I. He was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur in 1927.

Sorry, SOLD (May, 2020).————- Antonio di Puccio Pisano, called Pisanello was born in Pisa around 1395. He died in Rome around 1455. An artist of great talent, he is credited with the introduction of the Renaissance medal. He regarded himself foremost as a painter, signing his medals as such (e.g. Opus Pisani Pictoris [The work of Pisanello the painter]). Although many artists began creating medals soon after Pisanello introduced this new medium, his medals are generally regarded as the finest of the period.

Sorry, SOLD (December, 2021).———— Alph?e Dubois (1831-1905), French sculptor and medallist was a student at the ?cole Sup?rieure des Beaux Arts. He studied under Barre and Duret as well as his father Eug?ne Dubois. In 1855 he won the Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving. He exhibited at the salon in 1868 and 1869. He was a jury member at the Universal Exposition of 1900. Dubois was made a chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur.
