Wyon. AE 77mm. Obv: The interior of the council chamber. Rev: Londinia standing with various figures in attendance. BHM 3177, Welch 19, Eimer 1705. In an official, custom-made case, embossed with an inscription commemorating the visit. A minor repair to the case, which has some slight scuffs. Extremely fine. $450. Sorry, SOLDRather than commission a medal especially for this visit. The contingent was apparently presented with medals, taken from remaining inventory, commemorating the opening of the new council chamber and placed in specially made cases. This is the first example I have handled in over 35 years of dealing in medals.
