Sorry, SOLD (May, 2021) ——–Lucien Bazor was born in 1889. He studied under Auguste Patey at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux Arts. He won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving in 1923. He succeeded Patey in the post of Engraver General at the Paris Mint, a post he held until 1958. Bazor died in 1974.

Sorry, SOLD (May, 2021) ——– Raoul B?nard was born on 30 September 1881. He studied under the sculptor Coutan and the medallists Chaplain and Vernon. In 1911 he won the Prix de Rome for medal engraving and, in 1922, a silver medal at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais, followed by a gold medal two years later. He was later made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. B?nard died in 1961.
