Sorry, SOLD Alphee Dubois, French sculptor and medallist was born in 1831. He was a student at the ?cole Sup?rieure des Beaux Arts. He studied under Barre and Duret as well as his father Eug?ne Dubois. In 1855 he won the Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving. He exhibited at the salon in 1868 and 1869. He was a jury member at the Universal Exposition of 1900. Dubois was made a chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. He died in 1905.

He studied under his father Valentin- Maurice Borrel and under Jouffroy and Merley. As a student at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts. He won the secondf grand prix de Rome for medal engraving. We was a soci?taire des Artistes Fran?ais. He won a third class medal at the salon in 1880, a second class medal in 1890, and a first class medal in 1893. He was made a chevalier de la L?gion d’Honneur in 1906. Borrel died in 1927.
