He won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving in 1923. He succeeded Patey in the post of Engraver General at the Paris Mint, a post he held until 1958. Bazor died in 1974.

In 1911 he won the Prix de Rome for medal engraving and, in 1922, a silver medal at the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais, followed by a gold medal two years later. He was later made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. B?nard died in 1961.

Georges Simon was born in Paris in 1906. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieur des Beaux Arts de Paris under Henri Dropsy. He worked with Lavriellier, Gregroire and Bazor. He exhibited at the Salon des Artists Français where he received a mention in 1936 and a bronze medal in 1939.He was an engraver and later master-engraver at the Paris Mint from 1931-1971. Simon died in 1982.

The Huegenin die-sinking establishment was established in Switzerland as in 1868. It initially produced watch cases and medals, but as the former went out of fashion, they specialized more in medals. Its two principal partners, Fritz Huegenin-Jacot and Henri Huguenin were both engaged in medal engraving. In 1968 the firm celebrated its centenary and was renamed Huguenin M?dailleurs SA. It remains the foremost producer of medals in Switzerland.
