He won a gold medal at the Universal Exposition of 1900. He was an artist who worked in various media. As a medallist, Peter is best known for his depictions of animals. He became professor of sculpture at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieur des Beaux-Arts in 1901 and was made a chevalier of the L?gion d’Honneur. Peter died in 1918. ?
