Sorry, SOLD (June, 2023) ————- Aleth Guzman-Nagotte, sculptor and medallist was born in 1904. She studied at the conservatory in Dijon, then moved to the town?s ?cole des Beaux Arts, where she studied under Ovide Yencesse. She was accepted into the l??cole Nationale Sup?rieur des Beaux-Arts at Paris, where she studied engraving under Patey and Dammann and sculpture under Sicard and Bouchard. She won the first Grand Prix de Rome in 1929. Guzman-Nagotte died in 1978.

(Val-de-Marne) in 1869. He studied under the sculptor, Henri-Michel-Antoine Chapu. Starting in 1887 he exhibited at the Salon of the Soci?t? des Artistes Fran?ais. He won a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition in 1900. In 1907 he was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. He was interested in and wrote about art theory. Nocq created medals, plaquettes, sculpture and many artistically designed everyday objects. He died in 1944.

Sorry, SOLD (August, 2023) ———- Paul-Marcel Dammann, sculptor and medallist was born on June 13 1885 at Montgerm. He studied under Chaplain. In 1908 he won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving. In 1928 he won a medal of honor at the Salon and was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur in the following year. He designed a number of coins for foreign governments. Dammann died in 1939.

– – – – Georges Dupr? (1869-1909, French sculptor and medalist was born at Saint-?tienne, Loire. He was descended from Augustin Dupr?, a medallist at the time of the French Revolution. He studied under Thomas and Roty. He won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome in 1896. In 1899 he sent his plaquette ?Salut au Soleil? and ? M?ditation? from Rome for display at the Salon, where he was awarded a third-prize medal. Dupr? suffered from a lifetime of poor health and died at an early age in 1909. He was regarded by his contemporaries as one of the leading exponents of medallic art.

He entered the Budapest School of Decorative Arts, and later studied under Prof. Eberle at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to Italy, where he studied under Prof. Kopf for two years at the Palazzo Venezia in Rome. In 1892 he- went to Paris and entered the studio of the Master Ernest Barrias. Szirma? died in 1938.
