From Thénot’s series of plaquettes of African animals: Antilopes Impala, Antelopes Koudou, Buffle de Cafrerie, Combat d’Antilopes, Éléphant Solitaire, Girafes, Léopard, Lion et Lionne, Python, Rhinocéros.
François Maurice Thénot was born in 1893. He studied under Patey. He exhibited in the Salon des Artistes and won a bronze medal in 1927 and a silver medal in 1936. His medallic works include a fine series of plaquettes and medals depicting African animals. Thénot died in 1963.
