Henri-Eug?ne Nocq, sculptor and medallist was born in Paris in 1868. He studied under the sculptor, Henri-Michel-Antoine Chapu. Starting in 1887 he exhibited at the Salon and won a silver medal in 1900. He was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. Nocq died in 1944

François Maurice Thénot was born in 1893. He studied under Patey. He exhibited in the Salon des Artistes and won a bronze medal in 1927 and a silver medal in 1936. His medallic works include a fine series of plaquettes and medals depicting African animals. Thénot died in 1963.

Andr? Lavrillier was born in 1885. He studied under his father, an engraver, and under Chaplain and Bourdelle. He won? the Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving in 1914. He was later made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. Besides medals, he designed a number of coins. Lavrillier died in 1958
