Alph?e Dubois, French sculptor and medallist was born in 1831. He was a student at the ?cole Sup?rieure des Beaux Arts. He studied under Barre and Duret as well as his father Eug?ne Dubois. In 1855 he won the Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving. He exhibited at the salon in 1868 and 1869. He was a jury member at the Universal Exposition of 1900. Dubois was made a chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. He died in 1905.
