France. PRELUDE A L?APRES-MIDI D?UN FAUNE. Unsigned (possibly by Mascaux?). Uniface cast bronze 80mm. $400. Sorry, SOLD (October, 2021). ——– It has been suggested that this is an unsigned work by L?on-Claude Mascaux (1882-1965). The style is somewhat reminiscent of Mascaux’s work, but the format of lettering and other minor details lead me to have some doubt about such an attribution. It is nonetheless a high quality art deco medallic work.
