?mile Monier, a sculptor and medallist was born in 1883. He studied at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, and in the studios of Ponscarme and Peter. In the course of his career he received numerous honors and became a Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur. Monier died in 1970.
