Possibly Coudray’s most celebrated medallic work. $75. Sorry, SOLD (January, 2024) ——— Marie-Alexandre Coudray was born in 1864. He studied at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts and was a student of Dumont, Thomas, Allouard and Ponscarme. In 1893 he won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving. In 1898 he won a first prize at the Salon and a silver medal at the Universal Exposition. Coudray died in 1932.

Slight edge bump on the obverse. $225. ———- Fran?ois-L?on Sicard, sculptor, was born in 1862. He studied under Barrias and de Laurent. In 1891 he won the Grand Prix de Rome. He won a first class medal in 1897 and gold medal at the Universal Exposition in 1900, the same year that he became a soci?taire des Artistes Fran?ais. He was made an officier de la L?gion d?Honneur. Sicard died in 1934.
