He entered the Coll?ge Jeanne d?Arc at Lille, and later the ?cole des Beaux-Arts de Lille where he studied under Jean Joire, an artist of animals. Starting in 1906, he exhibited at the Salon de Lille, most notably a series of busts of prominent local figures. He was mobilized in 1914 and served in the 351e r?giment d’infanterie,during World War I. He was decorated with the Croix de Guerre. Danchin specialized in painting, sculpting and drawing animals. He died on August 4 1948 at Bergues. —– Delande et Cie. of Paris was a company that manufactured and distributed medals, decorations, flags, and trophies. It was founded in the late 19th century and closed its doors in the 1980s. It had customers throughout the world and produced military decorations and uniform ornamentations for several governments. The Delande family broke up the business?s archives around 2010.
