Sorry, SOLD. ———— Raymond Delamarre was born in Paris on June 8 1890. He studied under his father, an engraver, and under Jules Coutan at l’?cole des beaux-arts de Paris. He was also a student of Rodin. He was mobilized in World War I and was wounded and captured in 1914. He returned to Paris following the war and won the first Grand Prize de Rome for Sculpture in 1919. He exhibited at the international expositions of 1925, 1931 and 1937. Delamarre is noted for large scale sculptures, and a bas-relief, Les Arts et Monuments R?gionau on the liner ?Normandie.? He created a large body of medals and plaquettes.
