Marcel Renard (1892-1974), sculptor and medallist was born at Lyon. He studied at the ?cole des Beaux-Art de Lyon and then at the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He spent time in the ateliers of Boucher and Patey. In 1923 he won the Premier Second Prix de Rome and a gold medal at the Salon des Artistes D?corateurs.
