Julien-Prosper Legastelois was born in Paris in 1885. He studied under the sculptor, Carltier and medal engraving under Levasseur, Roty and Tonnelier. He won various distinctions during the course of his career and was made a Chevalier de la L?gion d?Honneur. Legastelois died in 1931.
