Uniface cast bronze 105mm x 112mm. $350. ———- Fran?ois-Paul (Paul) Niclausse was born on May 26, 1879, at Metz (then annexed to the German Empire following the Franco-Prussian Wat). He studied at the ?cole des Beaux-Arts de Paris under Ponscarme and Gabriele-Jules Thomas and later joined the faculty as a professor. He was elected as a member of the Acad?mie des Beaux-Arts and became a Soci?taire of the Salon des Artistes Fran?ais, where he received an honorable mention in 1898 and a bronze medal in 1900. Niclausse was eventually made a chevalier de la L?gion d’honneur. He died at Paris on November 1, 1958.
